Portec’s Custom Moulds are basically a smaller and cheaper version of our ESPOR® moulding technique. It’s a combination of porous materials and mould making process like ESPOR®. Portec’s Custom Moulds focus is on larger mould quantities.
Milling moulds becomes costly if a product requires many thermoforming tools of the same type. Depending on the tool type Portec’s custom moulds pays for itself after 2-5 reproductions.
If a classic mould making (milling on a CNC machine) is too expensive and you need to get a precise mould that delivers parts with a sharp definition and high accuracy without deformations this technique could be the perfect solution for you.

Portec’s Custom Moulds are often used as air-permeable moulds for vacuum forming and thermoforming processes for various components in many different branches. Our customers are producing ergonomic shoe soles, protectors, various damping elements and many other articles out of their moulds.
